Easter at Holdenby 2016

A wonderful Easter was had by all at Holdenby.

While the children hunted for Easter Eggs,  magnificent birds of prey,  Eagles, Falcons, owls and vultures flew over head by Holdenby's Icarus Falconry.

The House itself, once the largest house in England and the Palace and Prison of Charles 1, was open on Monday – a very rare opportunity to enjoy the historic interiors with its beautiful paintings and very unusual Piano Museum.  There was also a display of how the house was transformed by the BBC for the filming of  ‘Great Expectations’.

With delicious teas & hot cross buns being served in the Victorian Kitchen, and activity packs for the kids, there was something for all the family to enjoy.
