Sunday 27th August 2017 - Monday 28th August 2017
Savour the last weekend of the long Summer Holidays in the tranquil setting of Holdenby House and indulge yourself with a visit to our surprise Pop up Tearoom.
Relax in the beautiful Grade 1 listed gardens and explore Icarus Falconry, a centre dedicated to the care of its wide collection of resident raptors from around the world, including Falcons, Hawks, Eagles, Owls and even Vultures! Enjoy flying displays on the lawn and children can get hands-on by helping our Falconers fly ' Pedro the Burrowing Owl'.
There will be Croquet on the lawn, Cookery Demonstrations, a selection of Artisan Food Stalls from 'Made In Northamptonshire Suppliers', a Ladybird Hunt with Activity Packs for the children.....and the house, once the largest in England and the Palace and Prison of Charles 1, will be open on Monday with its historic interiors, amazing Music Room and a display of how it was transformed by the BBC for the filming of 'Great Expectations'.
FInally, we are extremely excited about our Pop up Tearoom. We are delighted to welcome 'Connie the Vintage Travelling Tearoom' to Holdenby.(Northamptonshire Food and Drink Award Finalist 2016/2017).
