Victorian Easter at Holdenby House
Easter egg hunts, Falconry displays, Mr Alexanders Travelling Show, Victorian Kitchen Teas and a rare opportunity to see inside one of the countie's historic houses are just some of the things to be enjoyed at Holdenby this Easter.
The house itself, once the largest house in England and the Palace and Prison of Charles I, will be open on Easter Monday - so everyone can enjoy the historic interiors with its beautiful paintings and unusual piano museum. There will also be a display of how the house was transformed by the BBC for the filming of 'Great Expectations'. With delicious teas and hot cross buns being served in the victorian kitchen and children's Easter crafts there is something for all the family to enjoy.
