Victorian Easter at Holdenby House
Sadly due to the adverse weather conditions we have had to cancel our Victorian Easter Event and House Opening today. We are very sorry to anyone who was hoping to attend but the car park and surrounding area will no longer take any vehicles due to the rain.
Easter Egg Hunts, Falconry Displays, Mr Alexanders Travelling Show, Food & Craft Stalls, Alice in Wonderland themed Victorian Kitchen Teas and a rare opportunity to see inside one of the county's historic houses are just some of the things to be enjoyed at Holdenby this Easter.
The house itself, once the largest house in England and the Palace and Prison of Charles I, will be open on Easter Monday - so everyone can enjoy the historic interiors with its beautiful paintings and unusual piano museum. There will also be a display of how the house was transformed by the BBC for the filming of 'Great Expectations'. With delicious Easter delights being served in our new tearoom, Connie's Tea Parlour @ Holdenby House and children's Easter crafts there is something for all the family to enjoy.
Please note that to "tumble down the rabbit hole" for an Alice in Wonderland Afternoon Tea you will need to book ahead click here: Wonderland Themed Afternoon Tea Party
