From condiments, artisan cheeses, home cured and fresh meat, dairy products, confectionary, bakery, wine, beer and other drinks, together with cookware and other related products – the Northamptonshire Food Show @ Holdenby is attracting a wide range of products and demonstrators, in this, its 7th year.
And organisers of the event, Oakleigh Fairs are delighted to announce that Sophie Grigson is booked to offer Cookery Demonstrations throughout the weekend. Sophie is a keen champion of domestic cookery, eminently practical and keen on eating well. She has dedicated her career to cooking simple, easy dishes using new and exciting ingredients. Having published 24 cookery books, Sophie is synonymous with great food and has a natural ability to teach cookery in an informal and fun way.
The show also has a range of other chefs including Andy Kelly Head Chef at Sophia's Restaurant and Wendi Jarrett - champion of healthy eating that really packs a Carribean punch as well as MasterChef Ondine Hartgroves offering hands-on cookery workshops - all of whom will be on hand to demonstrate their culinary skills with visitors. There will also be tours of the Kitchen Garden with Matt Hughes, Head Gardener at Holdenby as well as cookery demos from Holdenby's very own produce from the garden with Sarah Favell, House Keeper.
Wine and beer tasting sessions will all add to a really good weekend for everyone from the amateur enthusiast through to the most sophisticated gastronome .Families can also enjoy birds of prey flying displays from Icarus Falconry And the show is also supporting and is supported by British Food Fortnight

There will also be a range of food related and other stalls including arts, craft and gift marquees
The Show opens at 10am with the House itself will be open on both days from 12 - 5pm. Being open for only three days each year this is a fantastic opportunity to see inside this beautiful family home that was once the Palace and Prison of Charles I.
